Cyril Power (1872 - 1951) Folk Dance limited edition giclee print.
From an original linocut (c1932), which Power made using just 3 blocks.
Power became an architect, and worked in his fathers practice. His work won him The Sloane Medallion in 1900, an award awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Power was a life long friend of fellow artist Sybil Andrews. Andrews and Powers helped Iain McNab set up the Grosvenor Scholl of Modern Art, where he became principle lecturer. After attending Claude Flights class, he took up linocutting.
Format : Giclee print, limited edition, (1/950) on 310gms thick 100% cotton rag. Hand numbered / hand embossed. Unframed print.
