Eric Ravilious, Furlongs (1934) - Limited Edition Giclee Print
Limited Edition Giclee Print
From a watercolour on paper (1934). Location South Downs, Sussex. Furlongs was Sussex artist Peggy Angus’s home. Ravilious very much liked the expansiveness of the land and sky from Mount Caburn just outside of Lewes, to Firle Beacon further to the east. When he visited here, he felt ‘he had come to his own country’, writes his biographer Helen Binyon; and many of his landscape paintings were painted and inspired by this stretch of land. Printed to the original size.
This high quality giclee print is part of a limited edition of 950.
